Ring lights are an efficient method of lighting used in image processing and machine vision. With direct incident light, only the target area is illuminated, as the camera is looking through the center of the ring light, without the need to flood the entire working area with light. This is an effective light source when working in a large working environment like with robotic arms that need to find and retrieve objects and move them to other areas on the factory floor.

Using ring lights, you can:

  • check positions of objects within the working environment
  • reduce the amount of stray light in the working area

With additional diffusers or polarizing filters, glossy surfaces can also be evenly illuminated.

FRAMOS offers a wide range of lights in different light colors, sizes and designs. Falcon, for example, offers a wide range of ring lights for a wide range of application types.

Our FRAMOS lighting experts are available to help assist in choosing the lighting that suits your application and requirements.
