Spot lights are used in imaging to produce bright spots of light. This light source achieves a very bright, uniform, and precise illumination on a small area. Spot lights can be used for shadow alignment when certain features of the object are highlighted or attenuated. For example, in applications such as the testing of wafers and liquid crystal glass substrates, or for reading 1D or 2D bar codes.
