Telecentric lighting supports very precise measurements of mechanical parts with angled or curved edges. These features can be difficult to detect with normal illumination, such as standard back lights, where the light geometry creates light scattering on the surface, reducing the precision and size of the resulting silhouette of the object, as seen by the camera.

Telecentric lights offer collimated light (i.e. parallel light) that is impervious to positional changes of objects providing accurate and crisp edges in the captured images. Specular reflections that result from positional changes of the object within the field of view are minimized or removed completely with this light source thus providing high contrast images that lead to better measurement accuracy.

Effilux offers you high-quality telecentric lighting solutions for your measurement applications. Our FRAMOS application engineers can provide you with a holistic approach to lighting fixtures and matching lenses. We help you to generate accurate images and measurements for your application, without any deviations.
